Driven by a shared passion for student success both on and off the field, our story began with three teachers and coaches who recognized a significant hurdle for many young learners: access to driver's education. We consistently heard the same refrain – "I can't get a ride" – preventing motivated students from gaining this crucial life skill.
Frustrated by the transportation barrier hindering our students' independence and future opportunities, we decided to take action. We envisioned a driver's education program that wasn't limited by school walls or reliant on convenient transportation.
That vision has become a reality. Founded by educators who understand the demands and schedules of students and their families, we've created a flexible and accessible driver's education experience. Our commitment is to empower students with the knowledge and skills to become safe and responsible drivers, eliminating the "no ride" excuse and opening up new pathways for their growth and development. We believe that every student deserves the chance to learn to drive, and we're here to make that happen.

Behind-The-Wheel with Online Instruction
Students receive six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with a Coching Safe Driver instructor. Online lessons are online and self-paced. Students have 90 days to complete the online course, extensions are available at an additional cost. The online course Drives are scheduled when the student has started the on-line course and has completed the first module. The DOT recommends 15-20 hours of practice before driving with a driver's education instructor.
The registration is not effective until payment is made.

Parent-Led-Driving with Online Instruction
The student will access the online lessons through Coaching Safe Driving. The students will have 60 days to complete the online course (extensions are available at an additional cost). Parents will serve as the driving instructor for five out of the six drives. The sixth and final drive will be with an expert Coaching Safe Driving instructor and will encapsulate all previous drives.
The registration is not effective until payment is made.

Online Course Content Only
The students will be able to access the online lessons through Coaching Safe Driving. The students will have 90 to complete the online course (extensions are available at an additional cost). In this option, students will log 30 hours of drive time with a parent or guardian and take a final drive assessment at the Iowa DOT.
